记者7月23日从省农业农村厅了解到，上半年我省畜牧业总产值达956亿元，占农林牧渔业总产值28.7%，同比增长3.47%，增速位居中部第一。其中，猪肉出口量达0.58万吨，占全国的32.5%。也就是说，全国出口猪肉近三分之一来自湖南。
作为生猪养殖大省，湖南生猪出栏量稳居全国前列，为湖南坐稳猪肉出口全国“头把交椅”奠定基础。今年上半年，全省生猪出栏3145万头，同比增长0.7%，高出全国平均水平0.1个百分点。记者了解到，湖南的猪肉不仅保供我国港澳市场，还畅销30多个国家和地区，其中东南亚是湘猪最大的海外市场。
畜禽产品稳定向好、外销市场持续扩大，得益于湖南对生猪产业的重视和扶持。近年来，湖南将生猪产业纳入十大农业优势特色千亿产业，深入实施优质湘猪工程、屠宰能力提升工程和设施畜牧业提升行动，推动畜禽养殖健康发展。以往，湖南“猪带毛卖”多，利润空间小。随着湖南加快实施屠宰加工能力提升工程，产业附加值明显提升。上半年，我省新增投产屠宰加工项目8个，全省规模以上生猪屠宰量1374万头，同比增长32%。
此外，细读上半年湖南畜牧业发展“成绩单”，记者发现，家禽、禽蛋已成为我省畜牧业新的经济增长点。上半年，我省家禽出栏量达26591万羽、禽蛋产量61.3万吨，同比分别增长10.4%、11.3%。省农业农村厅畜牧兽医处处长武深树介绍，高速发展背后，离不开系列政策的落地，以及冷链加工设施和绿色养殖模式的推广。（湖南日报全媒体见习记者 杨建建 记者 胡盼盼）
