5月9日，常德市鼎城区牛鼻滩镇周家村“沣油2118”油菜种植示范片传出喜讯：经测产专家组现场测定，该示范片机械分段收获亩产达274.37公斤。这是湖南大田油菜种植亩产首次突破270公斤。
测产专家组专家宣布测产结果后，种植户姚和平将测产数据紧紧握在手中，欣喜表示：“我种了30多年油菜，第一次收获这么高的产量。”省农业农村厅种植业处相关负责人证实，之前湖南油菜最高亩产只有210公斤，此次274.37公斤的亩产刷新了湖南油菜亩产新纪录。
省农科院作物研究所研究员李莓介绍，提高油菜产量既需要好品种，也要好技术。去年，姚和平选择了省农科院2023年育成的高产高油杂交油菜新品种“沣油2118”。该品种植株粗壮、抗倒伏性强、结籽率高。在种植技术上，姚和平经常向省农科院技术人员请教，抢在去年9月底前适时早播，利用深翻耕、适度密植、菌核病防控等技术使油菜茁壮成长。今年春季湖南少雨、气温变化幅度小，也给油菜丰产提供了有利条件。
“湖南是油菜种植大省，却是全国大宗油料作物提单产的‘洼地’。”测产专家组专家、农业农村部油菜专家指导组副组长张学昆教授介绍，在油菜高产地区，这一亩产不算突出，但对于湖南来说，274.37公斤的亩产却是历史性突破。
张学昆解释，油菜是怕水作物，湖南受多雨气候和山丘地形等因素影响，油菜产量一直上不来。因此，湖南此次亩产大幅提升意义重大，为全省推进粮油作物大面积单产提升行动奠定了基础。
湖南的冬闲田尤其适合种植油菜。近年来，湖南大力推广“稻油”轮作，去年湖南油菜种植面积达2255万亩，居全国首位，产量居全国第三位。（湖南日报全媒体记者 奉永成 胡盼盼 通讯员 曲亮）
