霜降刚过，小麦播种正当时。10月25日从湖北省小麦秋播现场观摩暨旱作高产高效生产技术培训班上获悉，全省小麦秋播进入高峰期。
小麦、玉米、大豆是湖北省主要旱粮作物，常年生产面积3000余万亩，占全省粮食生产面积45%。据省农技推广总站介绍，今年秋播前后，全省高温时间长、降雨偏少，旱情持续发展，有利有弊。利在于天气干燥、土壤干爽，大部分农户均提前深翻整地，整地质量普遍提升；弊在于10月中旬全省大范围降雨，部分农户抢雨播种，播期提前，存在冬前旺长风险。
本次观摩培训会，要求各小麦主产区落实“四适”播种，只有做到适期、适墒、适量、适深播种，才能实现一播全苗和壮苗越冬。
据农情调度，截至10月24日，全省油菜秋播接近尾声，小麦播种超过两成。
