眼下，部分地方率先开镰，再过一周，湖北省秋收将全面开启。省植保总站最新调度显示，当前，全省水稻、玉米病虫害处于中等偏轻发生状态，长势总体良好，丰收在望。
秋粮是全年粮食生产的重头戏，病虫害防控是粮食安全生产的关键一环。7月以来，我省连续强降雨和高温天气交替，农作物病虫发生危害风险较大。省农业农村厅组派8个工作组、省病虫防控指挥部组建工作专班奔赴各地指导病虫害防治，各级植保部门以水稻“三虫三病”、玉米草地贪夜蛾等重大病虫害为重点，精准监测预警，开展技术指导。
各地组织社会化防治服务队开展统防统治，全力“虫口夺粮”。截至8月下旬，全省水稻病虫害累计发生面积6319.4万亩次，同比降低22.7%，累计防治面积7421.2万亩次；玉米病虫害累计发生面积为953.3万亩次，同比降低11.6%，累计防治面积748.4万亩次。
