入梅以来，湖北省遭遇持续强降雨，防汛形势严峻。近日，湖北省防办已将防汛四级应急响应提升至三级。湖北农业农村、水利、气象等部门每日会商，科学组织、指导抗灾减损。
争分夺秒抢排。湖北充分发挥农机减灾主力军作用，通过疏通排水道、农机抢排等措施全力排水。据悉，湖北已组织调度391支农机作业应急服务队、3738台履带式拖拉机和46.5万台（套）水泵等排灌设备随时待命，确保关键时期用得上。
千方百计减损。湖北为从严从实从细开展隐患排查，降低因汛损失，确保群众生命财产安全。黄冈市组织驻村工作队对农村土坯房、切坡建房等重点区域、重点地段、重点部位加强巡查排查，大暴雨前紧急转移重点地区群众并妥善安置。湖北省派出抗灾工作组，发动农技人员深入一线，帮助农户尽可能降低损失。
多措并举救灾。积极发动太保产险等保险公司，加快勘定定损，简化赔付手续，解决农户灾后复产燃眉之急。目前，全省已累计受理汛情报案395件，已赔付16件，预赔付金额59.5万元。同时，湖北还储备救灾种子470万公斤、农药1.7万吨、化肥200万吨，可满足180万亩补种需求；并印发《防范极端天气风险全力夺取2024年农业丰收预案》，分作物、分行业、分灾种印发技术指导意见，科学指导农户抗灾生产。
湖北省农业农村厅有关负责人介绍，此次湖北受灾的农作物中，七成以上为6月10日前后播栽的虾稻，待水退后第一时间补种，7月15日前补种到位对产量基本无影响。受灾的畜禽、渔业养殖场已基本落实保险理赔手续，设施修复到位后立即补栏补苗，可迅速恢复生产。
