在北京市平谷区山东庄镇集体林场林下复合种养示范基地，树下成群的北京线鸡或追逐嬉戏，或安静啄食，非常有趣。与普通肉鸡相比，林下放养的线鸡肉质鲜嫩爽口，深受市场欢迎。目前，林场共养殖线鸡500只。
与传统的养殖基地不同，这里几乎没有异味，也鲜少看见杂乱的场景。线鸡散养在林间，林间分散搭设有4个移动式简易鸡舍，内部铺设了厚厚的稻壳，喷洒了益生菌用于分解鸡粪，在众多“黑科技”的加持下，实行低密度小群分散饲养，告别了有臭味的传统养殖方式。
在饮食方面，北京线鸡食用的是由非转基因玉米和豆粕配制成的无抗生素、无激素的安全日粮，并在林间种植了菊苣草，可供小鸡自主觅食。
据工作人员介绍，在林下套养线鸡，充分利用了林下空闲土地资源和通风透光条件好的特性，线鸡排泄物也为林木提供了有机肥料，促进了种养循环和生态环境保护，进而实现了经济效益和生态效益的“双赢”。
下一步，山东庄镇将充分利用镇域丰富的林地资源优势，积极探索绿水青山转化成金山银山的新路径，持续推动林下经济高质量发展，为乡村振兴增添“新引擎”。
