为防范梅雨天气给农业带来的不利影响，湖北各地提前谋划、积极部署，最大限度防灾减损。
进入梅雨季，水产养殖迎来高风险期。在宜昌枝江，当地派出了50余人到8个乡镇对70多家养殖户进行水质监测与用药指导，并在部分养殖示范区安装气象监测器，实时监测鱼塘内水深、温度变化和水体pH值数据。
宜昌枝江市水产服务中心副主任周凯：“暴雨、起风、低气压的环境导致水中的溶氧会偏低，缺氧导致浮头，鱼类生长受到很大的影响，要勤巡塘、定期监测水质变化。”
眼下，江汉平原中稻处于分蘖期，并即将进入拔节期，把握好田间水量很关键。在荆州市荆州区马山镇双垱村，陆续多天的降雨让稻田里的积水多了不少，当地农业部门指导农户抓紧清理沟渠，保障排水顺畅。
荆州市荆州区农业农村局种植业股股长余磊磊：“通过这个水渠，把多余的雨水流向太湖岗水库，储存起来，遇到干旱的天气，就把水库里的水，灌溉到农田里去。”
在随州、南漳等地，各农业社会化服务机构则提前备好肥料、病虫害防治药物等物资，在大规模降雨发生前转送往各村，预防高温高湿天气带来的田间内涝和病虫害风险。
随州市随县农业农村局农艺师黄江山：“梅雨季，例如纹枯病、稻蓟马、枯黄萎病等，病虫害加剧蔓延，做好田间沟渠清理工作，提早储备一批农业生产资料。”
据气象部门预测，19日到20日、21日至24日湖北有两轮暴雨天气过程。目前，湖北省气象局、省农业农村厅已发布农业气象灾害风险预警，各地农业系统正有序推进防范应对工作。
