日前召开的湖北省十四届人大二次会议提出，今年将纵深推进强县工程，聚焦补齐乡村基础设施和公共服务短板，强化农业产业化发展和品牌化培育，加快乡村全面振兴。
湖北将强县工程作为全面推进乡村振兴的重要抓手，通过深入推进以县城为重要载体的就地城镇化和以县域为单元的城乡统筹发展，促进农民增收、补齐农业现代化短板，扎实推进乡村振兴。2023年全省粮食综合生产能力持续提高，产量达到555.4亿斤；脱贫攻坚成果持续巩固拓展，19.6万人消除返贫致贫风险；十大重点农业产业链加快发展、产值突破7000亿元；创建国家级美丽宜居村庄13个，新建和美乡村200个，新改建农村公路1万公里、农村户厕18.1万户，农村面貌发生明显变化。
今年，湖北仍将全面提升县域发展竞争力，强化粮食和重要农产品稳产保供。加快千亿县扩容、百强县进位；守牢耕地保护红线和粮食安全防线，新建高标准农田150万亩以上，实施新一轮粮食产能提升行动，支持公安、沙洋等县市创建国家超级产粮大县。
强化农业产业化发展和品牌化培育，着力把农业建成现代化大产业。大力推进十大重点农业产业链延链补链强链，加快7个国家级优势特色农业产业集群建设，做优做强潜江龙虾、黄冈蕲艾、随州香菇、楚天好茶等区域公用品牌，用好湖北优质农产品展销中心等平台，持续擦亮“荆楚优品”金字招牌。
强化农业科技和农村改革双轮驱动。深入推进农业科技服务“五五工程”，加快“武汉·中国种都”建设；深化农村土地制度改革，开展第二轮土地承包到期后再延长30年试点，盘活利用“三地一房”，推进供销社综合改革，培育更多新型农业经营主体、农业产业化联合体，完善联农带农机制。
强化乡村建设和乡村治理协同推进。坚决守住不发生规模性返贫的底线。扎实推进乡村善治，涵养文明乡风。持续整治提升农村人居环境，加快农村公路、饮水、供电等基础设施提档升级，深化拓展寄递物流、冷链物流体系，实现5G网络行政村全覆盖。
